Rootote | Link of the Week

One of my favorite activities while traveling is to shop. I especially like to shop when I travel to different countries; whatever I get - or receive - is much more special, more unique, because it's from a foreign land.

Last year, my mom traveled to Japan and amid all the sightseeing she made sure to get in a little shopping. She has always been great at picking out gifts for me, so I was anxious to see what she found in Japan! She brought back great treats, delicate art, a Burberry scarf (wrapped beautifully) and Sake (of course!)... but the most useful thing she brought back were two Roototes - one with strawberries and the bunny one below!

Roototes are simple tote bags that have a useful side pocket, called a "Roo Pocket." Created in Japan, the totes are extremely functional and can be used to carry groceries, books, gym clothes, or anything else you need to carry! The two bags I received are made of durable polyester and can be folded into the Roo Pocket; but other totes are made of cotton and come in a variety of styles and sizes.

Luckily, Roototes aren't only available in Japan.... you can order them online from at Rootote online or do a simple Google search for Roototes!
