Amy Butler | Link of the Week

My boyfriend's mom and sister are having birthdays soon, so after buying presents, I immediately got excited about gift wrapping. I'm still in a stage where I enjoy wrapping presents; I haven't yet reached the period in life where wrapping presents is a nuisance. On Christmas and for Birthdays I want my present to be the nicest wrapped present in the pile. I know it sounds a little ridiculous, but aren't you dying to see what's inside the box with big bows and unique wrapping paper?

Either way, during my attempt to find the perfect wrapping paper, I stumbled upon Amy Butler Wrapping Paper {oh the little things in life}. If you don't already know Amy Butler make sure to check out her website, she designs some of my favorite fabric; and now in addition to fabric she offers bags, bedding, wall art, stationary, wrapping paper, tableware, and more!

Saltbox NYC | Link of the Week

The other day, a friend and I were discussing weekend bags. She asked me to suggest a bag that could be both professional and fun... I immediately thought of Saltbox bags. Saltbox founder and designer, Nicole Scheinholz, makes heavy gauge canvas totes in a variety of styles and fabrics; on top of offering a funky fabric palette and incorporating plenty of compartments, the bags are treated to be water resistant! Perfect for traveling, from weekend bags to carry-ons!

Rootote | Link of the Week

One of my favorite activities while traveling is to shop. I especially like to shop when I travel to different countries; whatever I get - or receive - is much more special, more unique, because it's from a foreign land.

Last year, my mom traveled to Japan and amid all the sightseeing she made sure to get in a little shopping. She has always been great at picking out gifts for me, so I was anxious to see what she found in Japan! She brought back great treats, delicate art, a Burberry scarf (wrapped beautifully) and Sake (of course!)... but the most useful thing she brought back were two Roototes - one with strawberries and the bunny one below!

Roototes are simple tote bags that have a useful side pocket, called a "Roo Pocket." Created in Japan, the totes are extremely functional and can be used to carry groceries, books, gym clothes, or anything else you need to carry! The two bags I received are made of durable polyester and can be folded into the Roo Pocket; but other totes are made of cotton and come in a variety of styles and sizes.

Luckily, Roototes aren't only available in Japan.... you can order them online from at Rootote online or do a simple Google search for Roototes!

EmersonMade Hand Stitched Blooms | Link of the Week

I am dying for an EMERSONMADE. hand stitched flower. The adorable couple-duo, Emerson & Ryan, create adorable in hand stitched blooms including roses, poppies, and dahlias. The flowers come in a variety of sizes ranging from tiny pins to hair pieces to big brooches. They are the perfect accessory for a plain blazer, a little black dress, or a cute little pop in your hair. I love Emerson's creative designs; but what makes it even more adorable is the other half of her work, while Emerson does the creative designs, her husband, Ryan (aka bigR) does the photography, artwork, and collages! What a dynamic duo...
